The company

The two sales companies EUFLOR GmbH, based in Munich/Germany, and GARTENHILFE GmbH, located in Linz/Austria, supply a wide range of products for private and professional horticulture. The goods are either produced at the facilities in Germany or sourced from various domestic and international suppliers.
An in-house product and quality management system is in place to make sure that the high quality standards are consistently met, which we have guaranteed for decades as suppliers to the specialist trade.

Past and future

More than 100 years ago, the peat deposits from the ice-age moors of the Inn valley at the foothills of the Alps were already exploited as a source of energy to produce salt by boiling the brine extracted from the Berchtesgaden salt mines.
When the company Bayerische Hütten- und Salzwerke AG was established in 1927, the foundation was laid for today’s EUFLOR Humuswerke GmbH with facilities in Aschhorn, Westerbeck and Lichtenmoor. The companies acting as distributors are EUFLOR GmbH für Gartenbedarf (horticultural supplies) in Munich/Germany and GARTENHILFE GmbH in Linz/Austria, which market a wide range of soils and fertilisers for private and professional horticulture, mainly in their home countries Germany and Austria. Following the takeover of the humus production plants and the two sales companies by the Stender group, this group of companies now possesses an efficient distribution network to develop and serve the markets of Central and Eastern Europe.

With some 100 employees, Stender AG has developed into a leading producer of substrates and potting soils. In addition to Germany as its main sales market, Stender exports its products to more than 60 countries worldwide, including Arabian and Asian regions. Thanks to the changeover to Stender, the market position of EUFLOR and GARTENHILFE has been strengthened strategically, so that their successful future as independent entities has been secured. Their close co-operation produces synergy effects arising from the complementary nature of both partners. High quality standards and innovative further development of EUFLOR and GARTENHILFE products are thus ensured.

The product range includes plant substrates, nutrient salts, special mineral and organic fertilisers. We are primarily a well-known supplier in Germany, Austria and neighbouring European countries of many different types of potting soil for private gardens, for all kinds of plants suitable for flower pots, balconies and garden beds.

Sales and production facilities

In addition to ourhome markets of Germany and Austria, we supply our products through various trading partners to France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary.
A network of regional forwarding contractors ensures an efficient logistic system to handle deliveries, even during the high season in spring.
A sophisticated logistics system with specialised staff at the production facilities and sales offices ensures that deliveries are kept on schedule.

Staff

Experienced and highly motivated teams are employed at our locations and sales offices to handle sales from the office and in the field, as well as in the back-office functions of purchasing, product management and controlling.
